Trevor Knoesen

Productivity Improvement Consulting (PIC) was established in 1994 by Trevor Knoesen, who is the Managing Consultant. A strategic parnership has also been established with Molitor International of Michigan, USA to undertake international assignments.

Trevor has been extensively involved in management consultancy over a wide range of industries and service sectors during his consulting career, including local and foreign governments. Personnel employed have over 50 years experience in consultancy in South Africa and overseas with proven track records. Senior staff have been specially selected with the individual quality of being achievement orientated.

A major strength of the support staff is that they are well qualified and competently fit into a dynamic team with a hands on approach towards productivity consultancy projects. The distinct approach of practical, hands on improvement, has been adopted throughout the company and no purely theoretical recommendations for improvement are made to clients.  A trade mark of the success factor of PIC is that the consulting team does not leave the client's premises until full consensus has been reached with all levels of management.  Careful attention is given to ensure that all recommendations and implementation actions are fully understood and workable.

Special Achievements

PIC has been involved with the Irian Jaya Provincial Government of Indonesia in assisting with and initiating new business ventures to create employment and increase gross domestic product.

Management training has been afforded to the leading businessmen of Tonga (South Pacific) through a joint venture with the University of the Nations in Tonga. Through this initiative, PIC has developed a relationship with the Tonga Government where numerous productivity improvement projects have been conducted.

Major contracts have successfully been completed  with Volkswagen of South Africa, Daimler Chrysler of South Africa and Delta Motor Corporation. The return on investment achieved through this work been substantial.

Extensive project work has been successfully concluded with all PIC clientele. The return on investment has averaged 10:1 for local companies and a 3:1 with multi-national companies. Some projects have significantly exceeded this.
